One of The Greatest Years for Going to the Movies
1982
The year 1982 A.D. was one epic and earthshattering year for box office, attendance and awesomeness! This year (2023) As far as box office attendance, the big hits were Sound of Freedom, Barbie, Oppenheimer and Godzilla Minus One did much better than expected. Last year (2022) the biggest movies include, Bat-Man, Top Gun, and Elvis. You'll notice a lot the films are remakes of films from the 20th century. Now compare that with the list of classics and box office hits from 1982. These were either box office blockbusters or enjoyed very long lasting fan base.
