Biography

   Dale Hawes was born to Richard and Linda (Allport) in a suburb of Chicago on November 14, 1970. As a young adult Dale was a real bohemian, as in the "La Boheme" sense of the word. He once strived to contribute to the pop culture of the day and has an unusual list of accomplishments to his credit. 

  He is best known for his work as a stand-in & photo double for 'Marv' in the John Hughes classics; "Home Alone" (1990) and "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" (1992). Dale can be seen in the television shows; "Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place" (1998), "Presidio Med" (2002), "The District" (2002) and most recently, "Chicago Med" (2020). Mr. Hawes has also briefly appeared in the feature films; "The Babe" (1992), "The Fugitive" (1993), "Intolerable Cruelty" (2003), "Latter Days" (2003) and "Divergent" (2014). However, he's actually most pleased with his performances in the independent films; "Trite" (1995), "Cool Fool" (1996), "He's a Winner" (2001) and "What Joan Knows" (2007). Dale has also directed a few independent short subject films.

Also;

   In the early 1990's Mr. Hawes was employed at the old General Cinema in Lombard, Illinois. In the mid '90s he started driving livery. He drove taxi's and limo's. By the late '90s he moved to Los Angeles and worked as a production assistant, runner and background extra for movie & T.V. productions. He even worked as a paid audience member in shows like "Love Line", "The Man Show" and "Win Ben Stein's Money". In the first five years of the 21st century he bounced back in forth from Chicago to Los Angeles a couple of times before settling in the Midwest to be with family. During the first two decades of the 21st century he's delivered for Ledo's Pizza in Countryside, IL. In 2021 he started working as a materials driver at Scout Electric Supply in Lyons, IL. In 2023 Dale began working for Regal Entertainment, maintaining the building at the Regal Cinema City North Stadium 14 in Chicago IL.
